Welcome to <Triad>! Guild Information Inside!

Post  Vemnox on Sat Jun 07, 2008 2:42 pm

Hello and welcome to the official forums for Triad, a new guild in the realm of Hibernia on the Classics server ruleset and on the soon-to-be established Origins server in Dark Age of Camelot!

The name Triad comes from the three realms of which veterans of DAoC are coming from to join the guild. Former Albs, Hibs, and Mids alike are coming together in what is proving to be the fastest-growing and most talented guild yet to be established for the new Origins server. We were one of the first publicly announced guilds for the server and clearly outstanding in the realm of recruitment. We have also made concious efforts to set up alliances with other guilds from the get-go; we are part of some highly anticipated alliances which will easily ensure more people to XP with, more people to RvR with, and (most of all) more community around you.

So by now you've got some burning questions about the type of guild we are and our philosophies. First let me establish what makes Triad different than most guilds. When you join Triad you're joining a newly-established guild that has simply laid the groundwork for success. You're not joining some pre-established guild where your name gets tossed into the bottom of the barrel simply to add numbers. Each person here counts since people are the key to this guild even having even a chance at success. What that also means is that there are only a few who have been established as 'leaders' in the group. You're not joining into this perennial superstructure of ranks of which you will be at the bottom. This guild was designed in such a way that NO ONE is more important than ANYONE else in this guild. The leadership of the guild just handles absolutely necessary things within and outside of the guild. The "housekeeping," if you will.

Triad is fortunate in that we have players coming from a variety of different servers, classes, and backgrounds. This diversity in talent will ensure a well-balanced guild that is not 'just stealther' or any archetype for that matter. Because many of us are returning to Camelot simply for this server, we want you to play whatever class you want to play; it's all about having fun with the game and enjoying the people you are around. Don't worry about "what's needed" or anything like that. Play the class you want to play. Period.

The 'style' of our guild is heavily RvR-centric. When possible we would like to be very active in 8v8's but we will have no problem extending that number a bit if we have a few guildies who want to join in. What that means is if there are 12 people online who want to RvR, we're going to roll with 12 people and not leave 4 hanging. PvE-wise we'll be all about leveling everyone up on their primary toon as quickly as possible. Once we hit 50, we will PvE strictly for the loot farming aspect of things, but we won't be PvEing 'just for the hell of it'. There's a PvE server for that. Finally, and above all, we will honor the defense of Hibernia above all costs. We are not the type of guild who will be trying to 8v8 in Emain Macha when our relic keep in Mount Collory is under attack. Since we are part of a greater alliance of Hibernia, we need to be there for our realmmate brethren and be able to assist when necessary. Granted, if 8v8'ing would help the cause we will of course opt for that when necessary.

Hopefully by now I've given you a decent rundown on who we are. If you have any further questions you are more than welcome to post here or PM one of us here or on VN. You can also contact me personally by IM via the ID's listed in my profile. Thanks for visiting Triad!
